Specialization

The Financial & Academic Services Manager is responsible for the overall management of financial and academic personnel (AP) service units and supervises the financial and AP staff at the South Hall Administrative Support Center (SASC). Additional duties include:

  • Overseeing and ensuring compliance with relevant federal, state, and university regulations and guidelines related to financial and AP matters; 
  • Managing the financial and academic service unit's budget and ensuring that it is aligned with the overall goals and objectives of the departments; 
  • Coordinating with other departments and units within the organization to ensure effective and efficient financial and AP services; 
  • Reviewing and analyzing financial and AP data to identify trends and areas for improvement; 
  • Providing training and support to financial and AP staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively; 
  • Communicating and collaborating with other departments and units to make informed decisions on financial and AP matters; 
  • Participating in the development of long-term financial and AP plans, including budget planning, and forecasting.
